Rape Victims. Received this in WhatsApp.

By Preeti Das " I wish they raped me to death and did not let me live" - the one common line that all gang rape survivors have told me during my series of stories as a journalist. Dragged by her duppata, the 20 year old in UP was gang-raped in the field. She was found unconscious , bones broken and was low on oxygen. The police wasted time to register the complain. The woman died today due to multiple injuries. The names of the girls and women change . The brutality and methods do not. The caste angle remains the same. The delay from the police and authorities remains the same. All the cases have a similar story. The familes are finally forced to relocate. They do not get jobs , some gang rape survivors are forced into sex work, some commit suicide and some are bed ridden for every and die a lonely death. Memories of all the women and children I have met as a journalist comes back to me. " I have not changed the clothes I was raped in coz the police said they will take time to file the FIR. They want the blood and semen stains intact on my sari. It has been 5 days and I have not taken a bath or changed my clothes.I feel dirty." " The took my dupatta and gagged me with it and raped me one after the other behind the school. This was the same school I studied in ." " The rod that was inserted in the vagina of the 6 year old labourers daughter has caused the infection " said the doctor. " We cannot abort the 11 year old girl who was gang raped and is now pregnant because she has crossed the abortion cut off week," said the memeber of the special committee. " My daughter is deaf mute and we did not understand what she was telling us. She was raped by 4 men when she was working in the field. She is pregnant now and we do not know what to do. No one bothers about the tribals here. They are all men from the nearby village and belong to a higher caste ." We will support Black Lives Matter because it is trending , we will make citizen groups to make sure SSR 's suicide is investigated, we will raise our voices against Bollywood consuming weed , we will do all the cofee and couple challenges but never ever will we make sure that such brutality stops. For all those who keep asking me what we can do : - Well start talking about it. - Ask the TRP crazy media why they are not taking this up as a campaign. Tweet, spam them and keep asking.Tag them all. Keep asking them. - Reach out to lawyers collectives and see if any help can be given to the family. Just because the girl has died does not mean it is over . Most of you have no idea what their familes go through when something like this happens . Not just emotionally but also socially . - Bloggers, podcasters, meme makes how about writing about this. -Teachers discuss these cases with the older students. Ask them to follow up and see how long the media reports about it and how they do it. Give them assignments around media reporting. Stand up against rape and violence against women is not just going to watch Pink or saying Article 15 was a brilliant film. Change the narrative. Talk about rape. Do something. You might not be able to stop rape but acknowledging such incidents and doing whatever you can to keep the conversations alive is important.

Important Advisory on FAKE INDIAN VISA website

Posted on: March 19, 2019 | Back | Print

It has been brought to our notice that a number of fake visa websites are operating on the internet , claiming to provide e-Tourist visas services to visa applicants. In order to mislead applicants, some of these websites have created images and home page templates mimicking the GoI websites for e-Tourist visa applicants. A few prominent fraudsters are listed below:
i. e-visaindia.com
ii. indianvisaonline.org.in
iii. e-touristvisaindia.com
iv. indiavisa.org.in
It is advised that the correct website is indianvisaonline.gov.in. Applicants are requested not to rely on any other website for e-Tourist visa services.
